Champ's Challenge 2010 raises $24,000!!
The day began with a perfect forecast of mid 80's and little to no wind. Over 90 cyclists came to take on Champ's Challenge of either the 40-mile or 8-mile ride starting and finishing at the softball field at Basin Harbor Club, in Vergennes, VT. The low traffic, flat routes were raved about by all, while providing breath-taking scenery of Lake Champlain and the Vermont countryside.
In accepting this Challenge, riders put the pedal down to share in the challenge of living with Cystic Fibrosis. The funds that were raised through registration fees, riders gaining personal sponsorships, and an amazing raffle help keep the wheels in motion for implementing the mission of the CF Lifestyle Foundation.
The mission of CFLF is to help promote healthy and active lifestyles for people living the daily challenge of Cystic Fibrosis. The benefits of recreation activities bolster the physical, social and emotional strength needed to successfully live with this chronic and terminal disease. Our focus is on health, not on sickness, and on success, not tragedy.
With the help of over 100 people in attendance at this years Champ's Challenge, as well as our tremendous sponsors, and the five-star hospitality of Basin Harbor, we are able to celebrate the most successful Champ's Challenge for CF EVER!!
We hope that you will enjoy the slideshow of this year's event, and we will look forward to seeing next year for an even more successful day of helping change the lives of people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Please mark your calendar now for July 10th, 2011 - and please share this email with a friend for them to come ride too!
